These terms apply when you use our website, buy parts from us, or sell us a vehicle. Melbourne Wrecker ([ABN], LMCT [number]) is referred to as "we" or "us". By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

Website information

We try to keep part listings, photos, prices and stock levels accurate and current. Stock can sell quickly, though, and errors can happen. A listing is not a guarantee that a part is available. Please confirm availability with us before you buy.

Quotes and pricing

Prices are in Australian dollars and [include GST / GST is not included]. Quotes are valid for [number] days unless we say otherwise.

For used parts, we'll confirm fitment using the vehicle details you give us, such as your VIN, and send photos where possible. It's your responsibility to give us accurate vehicle details.

Payment, pickup and delivery

Payment is due before or on collection. We accept [PayID/Osko, bank transfer, card, cash]. Once you collect a part or it's delivered to you, it's your responsibility.

Warranty and returns

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

For used parts, acceptable quality takes into account the part's age, condition and price.

Some parts also come with an extra warranty from us. Whether a part has one, and how long it lasts, depends on the part and its condition. Please ask us about warranty before you buy. We'll confirm it in writing on your quote or invoice. An extra warranty doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, it doesn't cover:

- Parts that were fitted incorrectly, modified or damaged after purchase.

- Labour or fitting costs.

To make a claim, contact us with your receipt or stock number.

We don't offer refunds if you change your mind, but you're welcome to ask us. We recommend having parts fitted by a qualified mechanic.

Selling your vehicle to us

Our cash quote is based on the information you give us about the vehicle. If the vehicle's condition or details are different when we inspect it, we may change or withdraw the quote.

When selling a vehicle to us, you must:

- Be the owner, or be authorised to sell it.

- Provide valid photo ID and proof of ownership.

- Tell us about any money owing on the vehicle.

Please remove your personal belongings before pickup. You're responsible for your number plates and registration, as required by VicRoads.

Free towing is available for eligible vehicles within our service area.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website, parts or services. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, photos and logos, belongs to Melbourne Wrecker or is used with permission. Please don't copy it without our written consent.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on this page.
